How we work

You should know exactly what happens next.

Most of the fear around hiring a builder comes from not knowing what is supposed to happen, or when. So here is the whole thing, start to finish, before you ever call us.

How we work

You should know exactly
what happens next.

Most of the fear around hiring a builder comes from not knowing what is supposed to happen, or when. So here is the whole thing, start to finish, before you ever call us.

01

We walk it together

Free, in your home, no pressure and no obligation. We look at the space, you tell us what is not working, and we tell you honestly what it takes to fix. If we are not the right fit for the job, we say so.

Day one
02

You get a written number

A line-item quote you can actually read, so you can see what each part costs and decide what stays in. No pressure to sign in the room.

Within a week
03

We plan the whole thing

Selections, permits, and a schedule with a start and finish date in writing. You know what is happening in your house and when.

Before we start
04

We build it and keep you posted

One point of contact, photo updates every week, and a house you get back clean every night.

The build
05

We finish properly

We walk it with you and write down anything that is not right. Nobody chases us for the last five percent.

The last day
Why we work this way

Almost every bad renovation story starts the same way.

Somebody gives a number over the phone without seeing the room. Work starts before the details are settled. Then the questions begin, the change orders arrive, and the person who sold the job stops answering.

Every stage above exists to remove one of those failures. We see the space before we price it. We price it in writing before we start. We settle selections and permits before we open a wall, because that is when changes are cheap. And you keep the same point of contact the entire way through.

It is slower at the front end. It is the reason the middle and the end are calm.

The Standard

Every builder says they are different.
Here is ours, in writing.

Ours is not a slogan. These five go in your contract in writing, and you are entitled to hold us to every one of them on every job we take.

  1. A fixed written price

You get a line-item written quote before a single tool comes out of the truck. The number you sign is the number you pay. If we missed something, that is our cost to carry, not yours.

  2. One person, start to finish

You get one name and one number. The person who walks your home on day one is the person who answers when you call in week six. No call centre, no dispatcher, no being handed around.

  3. Your home, left clean every night

Floors covered, dust contained, tools cleared. You get your house back at the end of every working day, not at the end of the project.

  4. Photo updates every week

You see progress every week whether you are home or not, sent to your phone. No wondering what happened while you were at work.

  5. A date we commit to in writing

You get a start date and a finish date in the contract. If we run past it for a reason that is ours, we tell you early and in person, never by going quiet.

If we miss one of these on your job, tell us. We would rather fix it than be told about it later by somebody else.
